Shen Qinglin: From welding shop apprentice to inventor with 96 national patents
Shen Qinglin, honored as a national model worker in 2025, has achieved remarkable accomplishments in invention and innovation despite his modest educational background. Starting from a small welding shop, Shen has spent decades persisting in self-education, running his business through hardwork, and immersing himself in technological research. His inventions range from practical agricultural tools benefiting local communities to environmental protection facilities serving national development and industrial innovation, earning him 96 national patents.
When asked about his patent achievements, Shen attributed them to his passion for innovation, "I simply love inventing. When I'm passionate about something, exhaustion fades away, and overcoming challenges brings me joy. My mission has always been to stay rooted in my hometown and innovate for the people," Shen said.
