Cultural week connects China and Nigeria

On Sept 21, the day of Mid-Autumn Festival this year, the Chinese embassy to Nigeria and the Ministry of Information and Culture of Nigeria jointly hosted the "China-Nigeria Cultural Week".

Present at the opening ceremony were Cui Jianchun, ambassador of China to Nigeria, as well as Adaora Ifeoma Anyanwutaku, permanent secretary of Federal Ministry of Information And Culture of Nigeria.

Cui said 2021 marks the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations between China and Nigeria. Both China and Nigeria are great countries with long histories and rich cultures, and the bilateral relationship will be further improved and the traditional friendship further strengthened through co-hosting the "China-Nigeria Cultural Week".

This year’s cultural week consists of the "Golden Jubilee, Golden Opportunity" Photography Contest, "Share The Moment" Short Video Contest, Chinese Calligraphy Competition, and China-Nigeria Film Week and Photo Exhibition, which will vividly showcase the fruitful results of win-win cooperation.
