Recon-Firm, an exhibition to be opened at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing on Dec 21, will bring together 35 Chinese artists who have been exploring the possibilities of ink art.

Divided into six parts, the exhibition will examine the evolving forms of ink, as this traditional medium of classic Chinese art has been presented in an increasing experimental way.

Now, not only it is still being used for painting and writing but is also an element in video art, new media works and installations.

The exhibition, which runs through Jan 2, 2019, seeks to usher ink art into a globalized context.
