National Geographic will team up with Chinese partners to shoot Extreme China's second season, a documentary that show the country through the eyes of adventurers.

"Through our lens, we want to continue bringing the experience of adventure to a global audience," said Tony Qi, senior vice president of National Geographic Partners' Asian branch.

The first season of the documentary, which was released in October, has hit screens in 43 languages in more than 170 countries and regions.

It has been viewed more than 100 million times online in China, according to Qi.

"By focusing on environmental protection, education and exploration, we are determined to make more films to tell China's amazing stories," said Qi.
