Armenia's My Step Alliance led by caretaker PM wins election

YEREVAN - Armenia's My Step Alliance has won a landslide victory in the country's parliamentary elections, according to preliminary data released on Monday.

The statistics from the Central Election Commission of Armenia showed that the party, led by caretaker Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, won 70.43 percent of the votes.

The Prosperous Armenia Party received 8.27 percent of the votes and the Republican Party of Armenia garnered 4.70 percent.

The election commission said 2,010 polling stations were opened across the country and the turnout was 48.63 percent.
