Two districts join hands to create a city of design

A symposium held recently as a part of this year’s Suzhou international design week focused on the development of cultural and creative communities.

The event, jointly organized by Beijing’s Xicheng district government and Suzhou’s Gusu district government, featured government officials, entrepreneurs, experts and designers from home and abroad.

Meanwhile, the two districts have signed a contract establishing a partnership.

In a related development, an institute was launched at the symposium for city and communit research.
