Every year from October to March, when rainfall decreases, Tianfengping, a poor village which lies under a cliff in Enshi city, Central China's Hubei province, faces a water shortage.

Each year during the water shortage, nearly 800 villagers search for water. In October, a water exploration team was formed and finally discovered a water source within the cliff in Tianbao cave.

After a month of hard work, villagers are now drawing fresh spring water from the cave and should be able to drink the water before Chinese New Year, which is Feb 5.
