Tech giant Dell Technologies is betting big on enterprise-level businesses for growth in China amid the country's stronger-than-expected demand of digitalization.

With opportunities created by the country's digital economy, Chinese companies are embracing cutting-edge technologies, including cloud computing, to improve their corporate management and production efficiency.

"In China, for China," said Michael Dell, founder, chairman and CEO of Dell Technologies, on Wednesday. "Digitalization is a key driver and enabler of transformation for companies in the Chinese market."

He said at its annual tech summit that the company expects to help more Chinese companies to transform and become more digitalized to contribute to Chinese economy.

Dell EMC, the merged entity of former Dell Inc and EMC, launched on Wednesday its latest modular server PowerEdge MX in China.

The new product can offer much higher and better performance to meet the heavy workloads from both traditional and emerging data centers.

"Dell EMC aims to offer clients one-stop solutions and services to achieve digitalized transformation," said Henry Cao, senior vice-president of Dell EMC and general manager of infrastructure solutions at Dell EMC Greater China.

Dell bought EMC for $67 billion in September 2016 and now focuses on helping enterprise-level customers to build data center infrastructure. It also facilitates such customers' IT and digital transformation.

The US company now comprises seven brands: Dell, Dell EMC, VMware, Pivotal, RSA, Secureworks and Virtustream.
