Changchun Changsheng Bio-tech Co, a company in Northeast China's Jilin province that fabricated production records for freeze-dried rabies vaccines for human use and was linked to a substandard DTaP vaccine for infants in July, received a fine totaling 9.1 billion yuan ($1.32 billion) on Tuesday, according to the decision of the State Drug Administration and the Jilin Food and Drug Administration.

Fourteen company executives and others who bear direct responsibility were banned from participating in drug production and related activities in the future, according to the decision. Those suspected of breaking the law will be given criminal punishments according to the law, it said.
