Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) emperor Qianlong's eye for beauty was made fun of by later people, who preferred ceramics in thick and heavy colors and sealing on paintings. The recent hit TV dramas Story of Yanxi Palace and Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace focused on Emperor Qianlong's aesthetic tendency by showcasing many artware in the dramas.
