Its official partnership with the 18th Asian Games will be of great importance to expanding Guangdong New Energy Technology Development Co's business in the Asian market, according to a senior manager with the company.

The Guangdong-based high-tech company, which focuses on research and development of clean energy technology and products, has provided more than 1,000 clean-energy facilities for the largest sports event in Asia, which is currently held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

"Clean energy technology helps reduce consumption of traditional energies," said Zhao Misheng, president of the company.

Guangdong New Energy signed an agreement with the organizing committee of the 18th Asian Games last October, becoming an official support partner with the event organizer.

The company's self-innovated air energy heat pumps cover all stadiums, Asian Games Village and the media village in Jakarta, helping greatly reduce consumption of electricity, which is generated by fossil fuels.

To facilitate its market expansion, the company has established three production bases in Guangdong, with an annual production capacity of more than 5 million air energy heat pumps.

"Clean energy will become a necessity of life. So we have decided to expand our business at home and abroad," Zhao said.

In the domestic market, the company has cooperated with local governments in North China to launch a number of projects to promote the air energy technology in heating services.

"We are making great efforts to ship our products and services to the overseas market," Zhao said.
