Hong Kong singer Ellen Joyce Loo dies

Hong Kong pop star Ellen Joyce Loo was found dead after police received a report of a person falling from a building outside the Happy Valley residence in Hong Kong on Sunday, according to local reports.

The singer-songwriter was 32. Born in Toronto, Canada, in 1986, Loo moved to Hong Kong when she was at the age of four.

When she was 15, Loo formed the electrofolk and cantopop musical group at17 with Eman Lam.

She was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2013.

Last year, she came out as a homosexual while accepting an award at the Golden Melody Awards.
