TAIPEI - An exhibition featuring fossils and specimens from London's Natural History Museum opened in Taipei Wednesday, drawing crowds of curious visitors eager to catch a glimpse of the precious items.

The "Treasures of the Natural World" exhibition is divided into six sections, allowing visitors to see 227 items that have amazed archaeologists. High-tech equipment was installed to display the specimens, which represent extinct or nearly extinct species, and explain their characteristics and history.

The exhibition organizer hopes that the show will help the public see the natural diversity and reflect on issues such as environmental protection that faces humans and the earth.

The exhibition will last 75 days.
