On June 27, the State-owned CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co, a subsidiary of China Railway Rolling Stock Corp, gained supplier qualification from the New York transportation department after more than a year of qualification processes and operation inspections.

In the end of 2017, Boston received its first batch of subway trains manufactured by the Chinese firm.

It marked the first time a Chinese company exported its subway trains to the US with complete intellectual property.

The company had met more than 120 standards required by US government branches and civil associations.

Stainless-steel subway trains made by the company can be operated at 102 kilometers per hour and have a service life of 30 years.
