The CPC Central Committee has high expectations for the new leadership of the league, Xi said, adding that they should play a leading role in learning the Party's theories, strengthening their beliefs, improving their work style and following the rules.
The league's leading officials are required to create a good image for the league and unite young people of all ethnicities to strive for the goals set at the Party's 19th National Congress.
Xi said that the Communist Youth League of China has made great efforts in guiding young people, safeguarding the interests of the young and deepening reform of the league in the past five years.
