VIENNA - The chief of UN nuclear agency, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), on Monday said Iran complied with the nuclear deal after the United States' withdrawal.

"Iran was implementing its nuclear-related commitments, and that we had access to all sites and locations that we needed to," said IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano at a press meeting during the board meeting in Vienna.

After US withdrew from the historic nuclear deal, IAEA repeatedly confirmed that Tehran complied with the nuclear deal and kept cooperating with the agency.

However, Amano said there is still room for Iran to boost the cooperation with IAEA.

The IAEA is in charge of monitoring restrictions on Iran's nuclear program under the nuclear agreement, which was reached in July 2015 in Vienna.
