"The investment space for energy conservation industry in the mainland is huge," Shi, from Guangdong Energy Conservation Association, told a news conference in Guangdong provincial capital Guangzhou on Wednesday.

He urged companies from home and abroad to spare no effort to seize the golden opportunities (to expand and enhance Sino-foreign cooperation) in the mainland market.

Covering a floor space of more than 130,000 squares in Guangzhou Pazhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, the event scheduled for August 16 to 18 is projected to attract more than 100,000 professionals and visitors from around the world, he said.

The event, the 8th this year, has now become the largest energy conservation expo held in Asia, according to He.
