LONDON - A public inquiry is expected to open Monday ahead of the one year anniversary of the deadly Grenfell Tower fire in London.

The commemoration hearings are expected to last for two weeks. Every bereaved family from the fire will have an opportunity to make a statement to the public inquiry with no time limit on their speeches.

British media said the inquiry will look into 72 deaths caused by the blaze on June 14, 2017 at the 24-story tower.

Dozens are expected to read statements or show videos of their loved ones.

The inquiry, which will take place in central London, will also take evidence from other individuals and organizations, as well as evidence from experts and witnesses.
