Under the Electric Sky, we come together to celebrate life, love, art, and music. From the stages and the sound to the pyrotechnics and the performers, so many unique elements go into bringing this world to life. We invite you to wander, explore, interact, and connect. Imagination and positive energy are the currency of this place. Each area contained within EDC represents a distinct union of technology and nature, where elements mix to ignite the senses and inspire the imagination. We groove to the same universal beat and, together, create beautiful experiences that will never be forgotten. Music has no barriers, and genres are simply an entry point. As you explore the many areas of EDC, open your mind to the endless possibilities of aural inspiration. A vital part of the experience, the interactive art installations scattered throughout EDC are bridges we construct between nature and technology, there to inspire all who come in contact with them.
Maximilian Hecker "Sea of Silence" 2018 Tour

Maximilian Hecker is a German musician from Berlin, known for ethereal pop or dream pop music, similar to Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Tom Baxter and Nick Drake. He himself describes his songs as melancholy pop hymns. Hecker grew up in Baden-Wuerttemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia. He learned to play the piano, the drums and the guitar and did his A levels at Freiherr-vom-Stein-Gymnasium in Bunde in 1997. Having finished his alternative civilian service at Klinikum Schwabing in Munich, he started training in nursing practice at the hospital Charite in Berlin in 1999. Apart from his activities as a trainee nurse, Hecker continued pursuing his musical hobby busking in the area of Hackescher Markt in Berlin-Mitte. Thus he came in contact with Berlin's music - and cultural scene. In 2000, the demo of his song Cold Wind Blowing was used for the score of German director Esther Gronenborn's movie alaska.de. Soon after that, the Berlin based record company Kitty-yo, having released the movie's soundtrack, and offered Hecker a record deal.
Tomas Saraceno: Aerographies

For his first solo exhibition in China, artist Tomas Saraceno will bring together a compendium of works from across his practice. Designed especially for the galleries of Fosun Foundation, the exhibition performs as a model for a new, alternative form of living, one that attunes to the natural rhythms of the Earth's cycle and the more-than-human species we share the planet with. This exhibition concentrates on the space above the Earth's surface, inviting viewers to travel together on an imagined journey from the micro- to the macrocosmic. Tomas Saraceno was born in 1973 in Tucuman, Argentina. He studied architecture at Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires in Argentina and received postgraduate degrees from Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de la Nacion Ernesto de la Carcova, Buenos Aires and Staatliche Hochschule fur Bildende Kunste - Stadelschule, Frankfurt. In 2009, he attended the International Space Studies Program at NASA Center Ames in Silicon Valley, California.
