Tuliu.com, one of the country's largest online land transfer information service platforms in China, is committed to develop a shared rural housing system, according to its company's top management.

The company will integrate platform, product and service resources to incubate a rural housing service system for providing services, like rebuilding vacant rural housing, renovating old housing and shared selling of housing resources. The new system will efficiently redevelop vacant rural houses and achieve a win-win situation for land owners, house owners and consumers.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Land and Resources, there are at least 70 million rural houses staying unused in China. Total unused land in rural residential areas reached 200 million hectares.

With the implementation of the government's policy to encourage rural development and rural revitalization, Tuliu.com sees opportunities in the land transfer market.

"Under the guidelines of the policy and the guidance of the government, Tuliu.com has played the major role of providing marketization services in the industry," said Wu Yong, founder and CEO of Tuliu.com.

Established in June 2009, Tuliu.com provides users with information and services related to renting land, the land industry, legal assistance and online valuation.

Land finance service has been the major focus of Tuliu.com, mainly aiming to provide farmers and land investors with loans to rebuild and refurbish vacant houses.

So far the company's online service has covered 800 million farmers in China. It has 437 offline service sites across the country, employing more than 20,000 land brokers.
