Ten years ago, Yu Lijuan, Li's wife, moved to the reserve to look after him.

It became the couple's common cause to protect the habitat of migratory birds.

In order to avoid ruining the reserve's environment, they lived without electricity until a solar power system was installed last year.

For the first time, they could enjoy the Spring Festival Gala in the reserve.

"Conditions are getting better," he said. "In the past, I could only get some sound from a radio and now I can use a smartphone without worrying about the battery."

Through the efforts of protectors like Li, the reserve has received more and more migratory birds over the years.
