Yao is a Chinese woman who regularly visits the Kashmir region to collect cashmere scarves from artisans with traditional skills. The woman said this place produces the best scarves in the world.

Yao first touched a cashmere scarf in 2016. At the time, she was promoting products via livestream. "When I laid a finger on the scarf, I got a feeling other scarves I had before can be chucked," Yao said.

A handmade cashmere scarf requires artisans spend several months, or even a year to complete through intricate design, the woman said. A top-level artisan’s semi-finished product can be sold for over $10,000.

This year, Yao moved her office to India's Delhi, and she makes periodic trips to Kashmir to help local artisans sell their work. Yao said she wants to share these beautiful pieces with more people in the world.
