World X86 server sales have seen an annual increase of 12.2 percent, with $52.5 billion in 2017, while China's Inspur was at the top in sale increase, according to a market survey by Gartner.

The survey indicates global shipment volume of X86 servers was 11.39 million last year, an increase of 3.3 percent year-on-year. Dell EMC, HPE and Inspur were the top three in shipments.

Domestically, Inspur was at the top in both.

With an annual increase of 84.7 percent and 50.1 percent in sales and shipment volume, respectively, Inspur gained the third largest global market share in 2017.

Inspur forayed into cloud service provider (CSP) with a distinctive effort in joint design manufacture (JDM) mode in 2017 amid a worldwide service provider industry restructuring as a result of the emergence of cloud computing, big data and AI technology.

CSP has become the major driving force to the world service provider market growth and has transformed from being standardized into solution purpose-built for specific workloads. As a result, SP manufactures need to turn to highly-customized and configured providers, which have become the major demand from world internet enterprises.

Inspur has reached strategic cooperative partnerships with five of the world's 10 largest internet enterprises by market value. According to Inspur CEO Peter Peng, the JDM mode will help provide comprehensively customized service at a very competitive cost. As a result, Inspur has accelerated its global business with orders from home and abroad, mainly from the North American and EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) countries.

The global AI market is expected to increase from nearly $8 billion in 2016 to over $47 billion in 2020 with a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 55.1 percent. Heterogeneous products suitable for AI business, such as GPU, MIC and FPGA, will maintain steady growth and lead to a change in the market composition over time.

Inspur is China's leading intelligent computing manufacturer and provides cutting-edge hardware design and delivers extensive AI product solutions.
